Being For

"Being For" is a movement and a way of life. It's ideas whose time have come.

I've been honored to perform "Being For" at the Department of Peace Regional Conference April 2008, Denver, Colorado; the United Nations International Peace Day Celebrations at the State Capitol, Denver, Colorado September 2008; and the National Department of Peace Conference March 2009, Washington, D.C. I am deeply touched by the standing ovation reception of "Being For" and the eagerness to have copies to study and share. See exerpts below. The words are powerful on the page; even more compelling on stage.

If you are interested in inquiring about a performance and/or copies for your own conference, school or organization please call: 303-439-0261

At this time this poem is available in Volume I and also in a beautiful 8 ½ x 11 framable. I also have in the works a stand alone book of "Being For" that will come with a recording on CD and a DVD of the video to be released later this year. Purchase an advance edition for a limited time at 25% off and it will be personally signed by me upon release Winter 2009/Spring 2010. Other companion pieces are in the works. Being For

"Are you for or against?" we used to say;
often, we did not know how else to get our way.
To live, to create, to manifest our dreams;
how we stood so strongly for,
forced us against what we opposed, it seems.

Defining ourselves by what we are not
has cornered us in this convoluted spot.
When our Right is born by making others Wrong,
we dance for dominance all day long.

What if, while standing so passionately for
we embrace the contrast to meld in rapport.
Light does not live to be against the dark.
When light is being for, dark receives it's part.
You may have day, I may have night
yet, ...

What if, a polarized world were a thing of the past
now we have the ability to live whole at last.
To live whole because we're starting to see
we are all part of Unity.

"Are you for or against?" we used to say;
now we co-create our world in a magnificent way.

Holding your view while also seeing mine
brings us higher and deeper at the same time.
Uniting us ...
